Field House Brewing | Lemon and Coriander Saison

If you’ve ever had a beer with someone who considers themselves a beer aficionado they’ve probably love to say that you can taste the ‘coriander’ in almost every beer.
More often than not there is no actual coriander in the beer, but it’s a ubiquitous way of describing a certain spiciness and herbaceous flavour you can’t quite put your finger on.
Field House Brewing put pretension aside and actually put coriander in their barrel aged Lemon and Coriander Saison. So, yes, your beer snob friend would be right to say there are notes of coriander.
There are also giant notes of lemon in this beer, correction, lemon zest that starts out smooth and sweet and ends with a hint of bitterness from the rind. Aged in both wine and bourbon barrels, it’s effervescent and rich at the same time, with a soft mouthfeel and crisp finish.
Even better, all proceeds from this beautiful beer go to the Cyrus Centre, which provides food and shelter for homeless youth in Abbotsford, which is a growing need for a growing community.
